This is the shirt so far, center piece done, stitched at sides & sleeves on.

I’m not sure how the steps go but here is what I did.

Take your two tie pieces and lay them flat, right side on ironing board, iron them. Fold in half and iron again.  On the bottom one you can see the crease in the middle.

Next Fold sides into the middle

Fold in half & iron again

Take your tie piece and put a few pins ( I only did 3, one in each end and on in the middle). Sew as close as you can to the edge making sure you are getting both sides.

Now you are going to attach your ties to the elastic, pin long ways together about in inch overlap,

With a tight ZigZag, sew inbetween thise pins

And you should have this & this

OK now pinng the bias tape to the shirt. Right sides together open up the bias tape and pin around the shirt, leave about a half inch sticking out so you can fold in at end. Here is a close up. I did not iron the bias tape b/c theres no need to really & you are going to use that top crease of the bias tape as your sewing line, make sure you don’t go any closer to the edge than that other wise the 2 can seperate.

I didn’t take pictures but after you do sew around, you are going to fold the tape back into the shirt, pin & sew again close to the bottom edge and you should have this. On the ends fold your pieces in then fold over.

Take a safety pin & attach to one of the end of the tie pieces and go all around the shirt. Watch coming out you may have to stick something in to hold the fold over piece up so you can finish getting the pin out.

Try shirt on to see if you have to snip out some elastic, as you see I do b/c otherwise my bra straps would be hanging out

I have pins holding my pieces where I want them, I took out one pin and pulled some elastic out to where I thought it would make it tight enough maybe 3inches or so. Cut off my original end & repineed & sewed.

Try on again & make sure you like it, I did!

Almost done besides hemming the bottom. Adjust your straps so they are even & sew in place close to the edges.

Now the top of your shirt is done, hem the bottom & you’re finished!
